Your IL is just round the corner as per my extrapolation. You will most probably get it in the next set of Letters from NVC. You can expect the IL in the first week of July with an interview date likely in August end or September beginning. I must add here that this is just a guess work based on the way the NVC has been sending out IR5 letters. Best wishes.
      thank you

            Dear Raj2020,
my interview was on June 10. We were interviewed around 9.20 am and in 10 minutes we were told that the VIsa is approved and that the passport will reach us in five working days. They then hand over two papers which have been posted by me and told by many others. The same day the CEAC website showed that the VISA has been printed. Then on Monday, it showed that the passport is in transit. 15 th evening we got mails telling us about the tracking number and then within a few minutes of the mail we got SMSs that the passport is ready for pickup. We went to the blue dart office and picked up the passport on June 16.
This is generally what happens. I am surprised why did the officer say 10 days. if he did say 10 working days, then it means two weeks. So hopefully you will hear by the coming Friday. You can check whether the Visa was printed and whether it is in transit.
            best wishes.

            • Hi All,

This group has been fantastic so far and provides really good details/insight! I had a quick quick question - We have the latest W2/Tax Returns and Tax Transcript for 2021 and 2020, along with latest pay stubs, bank statements, new job offer letters etc. Do we need to upload this information on CEAC website? Our interview is on July 8th.

We will carry all of this with us on the day off the interview, in case the officer ask for these documents, but wanted to see if it is a added plus if we upload this before hand?

              Thanks!

YOU CAN CHECK VISA STATUS : https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx
This will tell you whether your visa was issued and printed.
                Also check : http://staging2012.ustraveldocs.com/...sporttrack.asp
this will tell you if your passport is in transit.

                  Dear apshah05,
best wishes for the interview coming up on July 8. The W2 and tax returns are very important and you have to carry the same anyways. The only added plus in uploading is, probably, that the interview will be a little faster. Uploading is only advisory and not mandatory. But most of us in this forum have uploaded the w2 and tax returns. The choice is yours. Best wishes again. Keep the forum posted about the developments.

Thank you to all the forum members for sharing their experiences and knowledge here which is helping us all to go through this process.
I had a question regarding entry to USA.
Do we need to have the physical green card with us before entering USA if so how long is the process to get this ?
All your replies are appreciated. Thank you in advance.

                        Dear spDQJUN2021,
best wishes for the interview. Once your visa is approved, your passport will be retained by the Consulate. Then within 5 working days you will receive the stamped passport with the Immigrant Visa. All you need to enter the USA is this passport. The physical Green plastic card will reach the petitioner’s address in USA in about three months of your entry to United States. You or the petitioner will have to pay a fee of $220 before you leave India for USA. This is the processing fee for the SSN and the GC. Best wishes again.

                        • The members of the group are super helpful. After reading all of the messages, I have a few questions -
                          - My parents DQ is July 22nd: Assuming the current timeline, they should be getting IL in the next 4 to 6 weeks. The questions I have are -
                          (1) When I submitted their documents, the tax return was only for 2020 and earlier - Do I need to submit additional documents online or send my parents a copy of all my W2 and tax return documents. (2) Do I need to print all the forms submitted online? (3) Does anyone has a good experience with medical in the Mumbai area? My father requires a wheelchair.

                          Thank you!

                              Dear nchhangani,
welcome to the forum. This seems to be your first post in the forum. The issue of w2 and tax returns has been discussed several times in the forum. It is desirable that you upload your tax returns for all the intermediate years as well as the W2. Also send the documents to your parents. They must carry the printouts of these documents to the interview. The officer May or may not ask, most likely, if the documents are uploaded then they don’t even look at the hard copies. No need to print any forms that were submitted online. Your parents need to carry the originals of all the documents submitted either with I-130 or DS-260.
The third question maybe answered by someone who has the experience with medical at Mumbai.
                              best wishes.

in case you have already procured the new PCC, then submit the same. I carried the latest PCC procured in April this year. The consulate is accepting the old PCC too. Best wishes.
My mother's PCC is from June 26 2021 and DQ is Sept 03 2021. Based on how things are progressing with IL, should I get a new PCC or would I be able to use the existing one?
