Is Mumbai consulate scheduling interviews for IR5 (Parent of a U.S. citizen)

docs.of my wife were accepted on 6th may 2020,(26 months back) for ir5 visa.sofar no interview letter.pl suggest for further action.
my docks dq in 12/20 and got visa approved and paid the immigration fee also.i have to move before 26th oct./2022.pl advise.i may have to leave my wife in india and proceed,which concerns me a lot.

You should send an expedite request email to NVC at [email protected] with following details.
“Request for NVC Expedite” in the subject line and body of the email.
NVC case number in the subject line and body of the email.
Applicant’s (beneficiary’s) full name and date of birth in the body of the email.
Two telephone numbers by which to contact the beneficiary in the body of the email.
Petitioner’s full name and date of birth in the body of the email.

Mention you case details as well and let them know that you already completed your interview and got the visa.

please check out my post #2205 as well. I was able to reschedule my mom’s interview just couple days ago.
This is for scheduling interview after Sputum test from RELE Clinic, Mumbai.

rmalik - This happened with me…couldn’t see the menu on left hand and missed class type while rescheduling the interview after medical test. This happens when you have cache and cookies as we access the link multiple times, clear them first. Open a new window and access the CGI webpage again. You should be able to see the left Menu bar. This should work and I am confident. I was able to reschedule. Otherwise you can always log through another system.

GeoMac I tried many times and now I don't see option to reschedule etc. the menu on the left hand side is not showing up, looks like they have locked it? I am really nervous. I scheduled the VAC on 25th which they clearly cannot go, cannot reschedule. I hope their application is not abandoned or something

Thank you for reply.as you said i sent mail to expedite.but they want emergency medical certificate to get treatment in usa.so also i sent public enquiry form on 17-5-22.nvc time frame says, -mails received upto 25-5-22 were attended as on 22-7-22..but sofar no il received.hoping during next week.

Thanks for the help from this board, I was able to reschedule my parents interview. Here are the steps I followed:

1. I scheduled the Visa Application Center (VAC) interview the earliest I could get. Got that done last week.
2. After the VAC interview my profile shows schedule a new appointment. I answer the questions as follows:
   1. Did NVC schedule your interview? NO
   2. have you completed VAC interview: YES
   3. I am forgetting another question, sorry
   4. And then you see the calendar.

I did this every day for a week. Looks like they release interview dates for 2 weeks in the future. One day I saw an opening and took the Counsellor appointment for Aug 1st.
Keeping my fingers crossed.
Don't know what questions they are going to ask at the interview. Please advise.

Thank you it worked. There are no consulate interviews available. I have my parents VAC interview on 25th July in Mumbai and Consular on 8th August. Of course they cannot go twice and I am planning to travel to India to take them to Mumbai on 8th. They will have to skip 25th VAC since they have already done VAC in May. Does anyone know what happens if someone skips VAC in similar case. I accidently did July 25th instead of August 25th. I was following the steps n the post which said schedule VAC for farther date. It is so stressful, I don't want to jeopardize their application but feeling helpless. I have requested that we get information from consulate about fingerprinting or what happens if they skip the interview but no one is helping. I am relying on this forum a lot. This has been so stressful for everyone. I will post our experience once I have clarity

About questions, they ask simple questions, answers of which you know well. What we need to do is give specific, short and true answers.

I did not do VAC again. I had to schedule both the interviews. I guess at the time I did not know that I can do farthest date where Counsellor interview availability will start showing up.
I went to the site, chose schedule new appointment, only VAC was available, I picked a date, had my parents finish that (on July 15th). After the VAC interview the site had the option to "Schedule a new appointment". From July 15th onwards, every evening I will check for a counsellor interview date, and one day I saw open slots.

BTW, the original counsellor interview date was March 24, 2022 which my parents were not able to attend. I had emailed the consulate "[email protected]" letting them know of the situation. And their response was something like this "We have updated your profile. Please go ahead and schedule an appointment online".

As advised by some friend on this group, open your account and clear cache and cookies and then log out and relogin.

Yes that is what I got. VAC first and then Counsellor interview.

They get 4 vaccines and someone posted a picture with their names, I am not sure if you can get them before medical. May be call the hospital and ask
