These are the four vaccines that I had to take. In case you can produce a certificate of having been vaccinated in the near past, then you will not need to be vaccinated.

why hunt for vaccines from shop to shop while they are available in one place, unless the cost has terrific difference.

                  • Hello, new member here, but have been following this topic.

                    DQ: 12 JUL 2021
                    Interview: 8 Sept 2022

Although had followed this topic in the past, but there are so many posts now to be able to search. So would appreciate input from someone that has completed the process:

Parents are in New Delhi. What are the next steps now, with interview scheduled for Mumbai on Sep 8.

                    - Medical appointment: Is there just one location in Delhi where it happens? Shall we call them first thing ? Is there any requirement on the dates/window within which this should be done ? Or ASAP ?
                    - Biometrics/fingerprinting/etc: I believe/hope this can happen in Delhi as well ? Again, how to take this appointment ? And again, is there any requirement on the dates/window within which this should be done ? Or ASAP ?
                    - Interview travel to Mumbai: Recommendations on the airlines, hotel , etc, please ? Would it suffice to arrive the evening before the interview date ?
                    - Documents to be taken to interview : I am hoping they will just check the parents documents mainly (parents passports, birth certificates, etc etc), and I do not need to send originals of my documents (any/all sorts, including my birth certificate, marriage certificates, tax forms, etc etc) from here in the US to them in India to take for the interview ?
                    - PCC (police certificate): Had gotten in June 2021. Reading some previous posts on the forum, I hope this will still work.

                    Thank you so much.

                    • Update: I had VAC for parents on 25th and thinking they have already done it so don't have to go again. They cancelled consular interview as well for them so don't schedule VAC before consular if you have already done it thinking you don't have to go again.

Thanks for the information. I was checking the option to avoid all four vaccines to be taken in one day. Any side effects like fever etc?

                          Dear GeoMac,
the vaccines are readily available at each facility where one has to go for the Medical. So no hunting. I think that the idea is to avoid the trauma of four vaccines in Five minutes.

                            Dear AS45,
Most vaccines can have a side effect. Varies from person to person. I was fortunate, I only had a little fatigue and pain at the site of the shots. My wife had a mild fever also. This went away in about 36 hours.

                            • HI,
Our DQ date is December 2. I think soon we may get IL. We have some personal doubts. Both of us retired from central government and state government jobs and receiving pension. Every year we give life certificate (JEEVAN PRAMAN). Once we moved to USA permanently, is it possible to give Jeevan Praman from Indian embassy?. We wish to rectify this doubt before attending green card interview. It will be great help if anyone in this forum guide us. Thanks

                                Dear V1V2S,
I am a central Government employee. I am due to travel to USA in mid August. I will have to submit my Life certificate in November this year, but I will be in USA. There is a provision for doing an online submission. For that you need a finger print reader and a retina reader. Getting it through the Indian Embassy may not be easy because the embassy may be located only in a few cities. State Bank of India is also authorised to do this. I will make enquiries from the authorities here and then post further information. Anyways my plan is to be in India during November every year from 2023.
