    Hello sapnaanagol,
What I feel is, we should not check the status and should not worry about it. If the immigration officer said that the visa is approved and passport will come in 5 -6 working days, then keep heart, it will come. God bless.[
Thank you dear Geomac, your wise & soothing words are most needed now for me.
I have not yet recieved my passport.
    Will just wait.
Tried to call on those numbers, only recorded messages, they ask for any other UID number, when I put, they say press 2 to terminate??
Hope others who had a delay in getting Passport help me.
So many hurdles for me !!!

Her medical expires on Oct 27 and she need to travel to US before that. I emailed and called support desk multiple times and they keep saying that the case is in process and I just need to wait. They are not providing any ETA or reason for delay.

Does anyone have any advice on this?
In the mail it says:There is no status update available for the passport number submitted
When I called the support desk,he told me to wait as Processing is on!
Kindly let me know the progress in your Moms case Plz,thank you

      • Hi everyone, my mother's visa was denied under the section 221(g). I was asked to submit Form i-864 and i-864a. I submitted i-864ez form on nvc before DQ, I fall under the 3 conditional listed for i-864ez. So that is why i filled i-864ez. So I don't understand why they would require me to submit a regular i-864. I do file income tax jointly every year but my income alone was suffcient enough to not require a joint sponsor. Anyone with similar situation? or can provide any information.
        Thank you

My moms passport is still with the embassy and the CEAC status still shows refused. Every time I call/email I get the same response that case is in process and I just need to wait. 20 days have passed since the interview. For about 12 days from Aug 30 to sept 10 there wasn’t even a date change on CEAC. But now last updated date on CEAC is sept 12. So perhaps someone has atleast looked at the case.

What is your last updated date on CEAC and when does your medical expire?

              Hi @abhishekhavat

We have also filed I-864ez as three conditions were met although tax return filed jointly but petitioner's income alone sufficient to sponsor. As you had earlier mentioned change of address, few questions, have you changed state and/or job? Did they ask you for a copy of i-864ez , W2 and tax return 1040 which were filed or latest at the time of interview? Will you have to submit fresh i-864 and i-864a to Mumbai consulate? Our interview is lined up in the last week of September 22. Will keep you informed.

Dear AS45, My address did change but my state/city and job are the same. I am not sure if they asked for a copy of the i-864ez because my mother was the only one allowed to go in there and she is not able to tell which document is which. Since I submitted the copy of i-864ez on nvc, i thought one doesn't have to carry a copy of it in person. The only thing I did not attach was a copy of was my 2021 income transcript, i did however had a copy of my 2020, and 2021 w2. The officer gave a form for the denial and what to do. The form has some documents listed that I need to submit such as Form i-864, form i-864a if joint sponsor required, letter from joint sponsor describing their relationship with the petitioner and why they want to sponsor. Copy of documents showing joint sponsor's status in the US.
And 2021 U.S IRS tax transcript for each joint sponsor. Including me too ,the petitioner, I believe.
The officer highlighted the website where you can get your transcript. I am very confused to as the tax trascript is the only thing I need to send since he highlighted that or all the documents listed on the form. I attached a copy of the 221(g) form they gave.

                • Update on my Mom's case - after sputum test - just for benefits of readers in similar boat

                  * Sputum test - Delhi Max; no update from them; had to call them and receive confirmation that the results were sent to US Consulate in Mumbai (after 8 weeks of test)
                  * No email from US Embassy asking her to schedule an appointment for an interview, but we did schedule the appointment the very same day she got confirmation from Max.
                  * She got a call from Mumbai confirming they have her medical results and verified that they see her appointment is already scheduled and urged her to keep the appointment. No email still.

                  NVC Delhi Fingerprint experience:
                  * She was asked at the entrance to produce an email from the US Embassy stating that her interview is scheduled. She obviously doesn't have one. She tried to argue that as she got a phone call, she couldn't produce the email. She was carrying the appointment confirmation page of the US Consulate in Mumbai that we scheduled after her negative test result. The person won't agree, some senior lady officer came, checked the confirmation, and advised them to allow my mom inside NVC.
                  * Inside was a breeze, they didn't take her fingerprint again as she was already fingerprinted with first NVC appointment. Just placed stamp/sticker on the back of the passport and confirmation page.

Now the next but more critical part is the US Consulate interview. I will post any update after that (end of September). Praying and keeping fingers crossed....

How to find out when would the medical expire? Assuming it is a set term? With Sputum test the lab itself takes 2 months to provide results, so whe does the countdown starts. Please advise...

My mom Sputum test result came on July 11th and the email we received said her medical is valid until Oct 10th so I guess its 3 months after sputum test results. If you don't go through sputum test the medical is valid for 6 months from the date it was done. We had this case with dad. Hope this helps.

Hiring them at this stage may be expensive I feel.

My updated CEAC is also 12th September.
I think the delay is due to the large number of holidays in this period.
I have a gut feeling that we will receive our Passports with the stamp by this weekend.
Plz let me know about your mom's update too.

How many days did it take for your mom to recieve her Passport from the consulate.
There seems to be a delay in 2 of us here in this forum.

I live in texas. I am waiting for the embassy to reply back to my emails and hopefully that will clearfy things for me. I will keep everyone updated.
