Hi All,
I applied for my parent IR5 visa and got the IL. Consular interview is scheduled for November 22, 22022. I was booking the OFC appointment. I started with my fathers information in passport details section and added my mother in dependent section, I scheduled the appointment for November 21, 2022. Both are in Mumbai. I got the confirmation email which lists both my parents name, DS-260 numbers and UID. I was wondering if I need to scheduled my mothers appointment separately. I called the customer support to check, they said to email, I emailed and their response was very generalized, nothing related to my query. Does anyone know? The support person also mentioned that he does not see any appointment booked for my parents. So I am not sure what is going on. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Yes, biometrics appointment for both parents can be booked by adding name of another parent. No need to book separately for your mother. If you have received the email confirmation containing details of both parents, then you have valid appointment for both. Just print that and go for appointment. Support staff, sometimes do not understand the query properly and misguide us.

I do not find this IR5 tracker authentic. Anyone can play mischief by changing the dates and create unwarranted tensions in people waiting for their ILs. The NVC process is fair and safe. We will surely get our ILs as per our turns in the queue. Please have patience and faith in the system.

NVC will reply emails after almost two months as per their current timeframes from update on 10/03/2022.

Dear trader01,
I am sure that they would have taken the biometrics appointment. Once the appointment is taken a mail comes from the VAC centre about the documents that one needs to carry. The documents mentioned are the most important ones. Besides this, they need to carry all the originals of the documents that may have been submitted with I130 or DS260. There is no need to carry I864 as this is already uploaded. You may send soft copies just as a precaution. Best wishes.
