While tracking for green card, our status changed to 'Card Being Produced' on 10 November. We had landed on October 6 and staying in California. Our I-130 filing receipt had prefix IOE , as with the case of Sweta85, and green card receipt number too had prefix IOE. For tracking, green card, fee receipt number matters. Best wishes to all waiting for SSN and green card.
AS45 congratulations on the progress on your green card status. Other members explained to me that IOE is just a receipt number. I was wondering in your case 130 Received receipt and green card fees payment receipt IOE are different? Let me know, please. Thanks

        • Does anyone have the experience to have the immigration process completed in Abu Dhabi while traveling with Etihad airlines? I was wondering if the staff in Abudhabi can speak Hindi. I am looking for a ticket for my mom on Ethiad airlines. It shows that the passenger has to change terminals in Abudhabi. If she is receiving wheelchair assistance, she will get help with terminal transit as well? I really wish if leave from my work gets approved and I can go to India to pick her up. However, it is not possible at this moment. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks

            Dear Aluri,
first of all we wish a speedy recovery for your wife. God has landed you in a very unique situation. Please note that this temporary Immigrant Visa has an expiry date. I am not sure whether this is a multiple entry or a single entry Visa. Now that you have entered USA on October 20, you are expected to maintain status by staying for over 6 months in USA in a calendar year. Going back after an year might create problems. It would be better if you re entered before the expiry date of the current visa. Once you have your permanent resident card you will be more free to move about. I suggest that your petitioner should consult an immigration lawyer in the US. Best wishes again for your wife’s full recovery.

              Hi Sweta85,
Please see my earlier post no. 2952 at page 197 for US immigration at Abu Dabhi Airport.
In addition, there is separate line for Wheel chair passengers at Immigration counter. A separate sheet of paper be provide to your mom with details like her name, passport no., US address and phone no., and your details like your name, designation and place of work etc., so that she will be able to provide the same to immigration officer. She can also ask for Hindi speaking wheel chair person at Abu Dabhi airport. Best wishes.

Hi Sweta85 Yes, numbers are different. I mentioned same prefix IOE in both cases just to clear confusion. We have to use green card fee receipt number for tracking.

                  Dear sweta85,
wonder what continues to bother you. These are mere receipt numbers and will be different each time a new payment is made. Even the first three letters need not be same. In my case they started with LIN. This only shows that our I130 was processed at Nebraska.

                  best wishes

                    Dear sweta85,
Your queries have been very nicely answered by Atmakur61. The immigration counters at Abudhabi, for the USA flight will be manned by US people. You will have the option of asking for an interpreter. If you have opted for a wheel chair, the responsibility will be on the airlines to maneuver the passenger to the right terminal and the right immigration counter. The wheel chair passéngers get priority over the other passengers at each step, immigration, security and boarding. Relax, Etihad is a good airline and takes good care of their passengers. Best wishes for your mom’s travel to USA.

                    • Hello,

I am trying to book an IR5 interview appointment for my dad . His original appointment (Sept 7) was cancelled since he needed to get sputum tests done.

I have been checking the CGI portal each day since last week but it shows no consular interview slots available. The steps I take on CGI portal are: Schedule appointment ->Immigrant Visa -> Class B medical -> IR5 -> Schedule OFC (Biometrics) -> Schedule Consular appointment

No matter which appointment date I select for OFC (Biometrics), I keep getting the same message at the Consular appointment step -
There are currently no appointments available. Please press the Back button and choose a new OFC appointment Date.

Are these the correct steps for booking an appointment after sputum test? If yes, how do I get any open slots for consular interview? Is there a day of the week or time of day when open slots are posted? Please advise.

It also shows You are approaching the maximum number of times you may view this page. Please complete your transaction at this time . I am quite worried.

                      Thanks in advance.

I would suggest please check whether your parents' case is still active ? Normally after i130 approval, one has to take action of filing DS260 form with in one year, lest the case becomes invalid. If you have filled the form and submitted it and some of the documents, it is likely that the case is still open and valid. When we submit all required documents and when NVC is satisfied it will make your case "Documentarily Qualified" Once this happens you are worry free and wait for Interview Letter.
All documents you have listed are civil documents and they are definitely needed. You uploaded your tax documents of 2019 and i864, i864A which is good thing. Now please upload all other documents and finance documents of 2020, 2021 so that there will not be any deficiancy and they will make your case DQed. These days the time period between DQD and IV interview has become a little shorter (12 month). About 6 months back it was 14 months in normal cases.

Thank you so much for your reply. The cases are still active; the requirement that USCIS / NVC has to keep case active is to login to ceac website atleast once every 365 days.
I will work on submitting documents!

Do you mean DQ date August 2022? Interview might be next year around July 2023.

                              Dear Rinkujp
You may press the back button and take a date for Biometrics and then try for Consular Interview date. Later on you may change the Biometrics date in accordance with consular interview date. Even if your dad has completed Biometrics earlier, do go for biometrics again and get it done. If you skip the new date of biometrics then the consular interview will not be allowed. So be careful.

                                Dear ALURI
Sorry to know that you had to return so soon. Also sorry for your wife's ill Health. May God heal her quickly and grant good health.
The statement at the bottom of visa stamp reads like this? UPON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I- 551 EVIDENCING PERMANENT RESIDENCE FOR 1 YEAR.
This means that in case the Permanent Residence card is delayed for any reasons, the visa stamp will serve as permanent Residence I-551 i.e. Green Card. The moment the Green Card comes in your hand, the visa stamp becomes of no importance. So when you return back to USA, you will have to show your green card for entering the US.
