I am a US Citizen living in India. I am planning to apply for immigrant visa for my wife who is an Indian Citizen through Direct Consular Processing. My question is once I apply for it and get the green card approved, is there any time limit within which she has to go to US.

I know that it is a normally a 6 month period in which she has to enter USA. But the exact dates will be mentioned on the visa sticker from the date of issue.
