Re-entry permit

I am living in Alexandria, Virginia and wish to apply for re-entry permit to complete my out of states degree program. I would please like therefore wanna find out how long it will take me to complete the biometric process if I file it today, 06/25/2010. This is because my date of leaving must be 08/24/2010 and to stay for about 9 months to complete it.Any additional information about possible ways i may retain my permanent resident it highly welcome.

Send a pre-paid envelope with your re-entry application. Also mark the envelope in which you send re-entry application as "expedite". You should get your bio-metrics appointment in a week. I did this so I know.
