Sonosoring My Son with Social Security Benefit

Hi There,

I am currently on Social Security Benifit. I have heard from unreliable sources that if i am on Social security benifits USCIS automatically close the file i have in process to sponsor my son under Family based 2B category. Is this true?. Please advice me what i should do so that USCIS dont close my file..

Have you already applied for your son? How old is he? Are you a USC?
I haven't heard such thing. Once is petition is approved, you will need to have a US Citizen willing to sign an affidavit of support.
