Approximation of waiting time
Greetings to the immihelp community!
My quick bio: I'm currently in France, and I have a job offer from a Californian high-tech company and I want to move to the US as soon as possible. My green case is via consular processing and I'm currently documentarily complete in NVC. My "preference category" is E2 and my "priority date" is June 2017 (I initiated the process then).
My question: NVC just sent me a confirmation email that I'm in the queue awaiting an interview appointment in the US embassy in Paris. Based on your experience, what is the approximate waiting time for the interview? I need this estimation as my employer wants to know how much they should postpone my starting date. My current starting date is set for early June which is obviously infeasible to reach.
