Interviews for EB1 visa in mumbai consulate

Dear Robo81, Can you please suggest what to do after getting interview letter. In interview letter it is mentioned to do medical test for all of us. Can you please tell if any other things need to be done before interview. Do we need to take biometric appointment if yes then what is the procedure. I have following civil documents.
1. Passport
2. Marriage certificate
3. PC
4. Birth certificate

Hi dgchem- congratulations....and yes first thing you have to do is to take medical and biometric appointments. Schedule them atleast a week before so you can enough buffer for the medical reports to get ready.

Biometric has to be scheduled on the cgiferederal portal and for medicals , based on the city you are in contact the embassy authorised physician clinic and they will direct you.

The documents for biometric are your photographs 2x2, 2 pics each they take it from you, carry your original passports and vac appointment letter.

For Medicals it is the ds 260 confirmation, original passports, your covid vaccine records, your other vaccine records if available. Keep it handy for your kids if small...it is useful. Then whatever medications you and your family is on along with the prescriptions. They charge a fee depending on the tests and vaccines thye give.

Dear friends thank you all for the support and especially Robo81 and wishing for all those who are waiting to get their IL's. At this speed all the EB backlogs will be cleared in a couple months.

Hi mmkk86 , I tried scheduling an appointment by changing the "visa category" to Immigrant visa though I have an active receipt number associated to the H1B and a DS 160. When I changed the visa category it asks me to input information related to it and the DS260 confirmation number. So try getting the appointment rescheduled for your biometrics using the Immigrant visa option instead of the "221G pending "option. I think it will automatically prompt you to follow up with the information related to the DS260 form and lets you schedule your appointment.

Cheli Thank you, I was able to add myself as dependent on my wife’s profile and booked the appointment for tomorrow based on your earlier advise. They got to fix that confusing website where no one has any clue when a glitch happens. Our medical is going to be on Monday at Hyderabad itself with their ridiculous pricing. I am glad we are all here finally, it feels surreal after such a long wait.

Hi mmkk86, Glad to know it worked. I know right there are so many left out in limbo with no clue whatsoever how these glitches can be fixed. Well at least we have this group to share and get help in some ways. Good luck with your Biometrics and Medicals. Let us know if there are any specifics that we need to take care of .
