Interviews for EB1 visa in mumbai consulate

Just an update, I was able to schedule an appointment for the biometrics by logging in to the site and creating a profile at https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/. In the same site I was also able to schedule pick up of my documents after my interview, you could choose Pick up or Premium delivery (blue dart courier), I chose pick up instead of courier just wanted to make sure that I avoid any delays. The people that I spoke to, told me that they received the courier in two-three days, so its your choice.
I was also able to schedule my medical test with Apollo hospital in Chennai, eleven days prior to the interview. The scheduler was so nice, I was told that even if you had not taken some of the mandatory vaccinations, they would administer that to you on the dat of medical test. I was told that the medical test may take up to fours to complete.
By the way, if you have received your IL, please set up the appointment for the biometrics asap. When I checked yesterday the slots are getting filed very quickly, available dates are shorter.

sjchn Hi there, I first tried the slots in Chennai, most of the dates were booked, there were more slots available in Mumbai. So I chose Mumbai.
FYI- I also got to know from another applicant that there is no fee for the biometric.

I have my EB1A visa interview scheduled on the 23rd August, we plan to travel to the US via Abu Dhabi (US immigration services).

Biometric testing in Mumbai- Mine is an EB1A category for a family of three. Yesterday (4th August 2022) we had our biometric test done at Mumbai. We stayed at the Sofitel Hotel BKC, the testing center located at Parinee Crescenzo building (Behind Standard Chartered Building) is just 5 minutes walk from Sofitel. Our appointment was at 2:00pm, we reached there at 1:15pm. There is a person at the building gate entrance who let's people in gave us a token number. After collecting the token, we entered the building, another security checks your temperature (for COVID), then we went to the first floor were the testing center is located. They do not allow carrying with you mobile phones or smart watches, if you do, then they provide a locker on the same level of the floor at Rs. 500 charge.
We stood in a short line where they checked our DS 260, biomteric test appointment letter, two photos and original passport. Then we went to another counter, where they apply a printed sticker at the back of your passport. Then you get another token from the security to do the finger printing. At the finger printing counter, you slide in the documents (passport, photo and DS 260). The person will do the print finger print and also take a picture of you. He stamps your DS 260 form with the date the finger printing was done. You must carry this stamped DS 260 form while going to the visa interview.
The entire process was all done in less than 15 minutes from start to end. That's it.
