Also if we try customer service couple of times, when some sane ppl get on board it is easy to book the appointment via phone as well. Hope that helps.
Hi mmkk86 we figured it out and got the appointment scheduled and thank you though for your suggestion.

My son's case is approved and is with the NVC since September 2019. I got my green card under EB1C in August 2020 which means my son should have been DQ'ed at that time. But we haven't heard anything from NVC since September 2019. NVC has not created a case number for my son yet and hence we haven't even received packet 3. My son case needs consular processing in India but looks like NC is not processing or scheduling any interviews at the moment.

Does anyone know what I should do? I tried raising service request and inquiries with USCIS several times but no response. Is anyone in the same boat?
Hi Aashay, Since you are under EB1, your visa category is current. Did you receive the Welcome letter from the NVC with your case number and Invoice ID number after the I824 approval to fill out the DS260 application ?
It is only after you receive the welcome letter from the NVC , you can submit your DS260 immigrant visa application with all the required documents online. After that the NVC notifies you that you are documentarily qualified and ready for the interview.

If you have not received the Welcome letter , you have to contact the NVC because its been a long time you got your I824 approved.

I am not sure at which stage your are in right now.

Hi Cheli , I have not received the welcome letter from NVC. This is what I am worried about, I don't even have a case number & invoice ID number with me. I have tried to contact the USCIS several times with the inquiry forms but no response yet. Is there any other way I can contact USCIS or somehow get my case expedited? Thanks!

Hi @ Aashay, There is not much that the USCIS can do now once your case is transferred to the NVC. and That is what I824 application is for. I would suggest you contact the NVC at the below email explaining your entire situation and send them all your approved I797 notices for your I140, I485, I824 and attach a copy of your green card.
The email ID is : [email protected]
The NVC research team will find your case and update your status within 30 days. I emailed them because my case was delayed too and they put it on track later. Once you receive a response about your case status from them then you can email the NVC again to expedite your case as there is a very good chance for you because you are in the EB1 category and your priority date is current and you have waited for more than a year. For the expedition process you need to email to : [email protected] . I know this is going to take some time but it is worth the try based on my personal experience.
                    Good Luck Aashay

                              • Hi, here you go guys, I am writing it in detail as I wanted to know the same way while I was waiting.
EB1A Interview Date: 18th April at 8:30 am. DQ: July 2021. Stay at Sofitel - 2 min walk, trident is also just opp the consulate
We went to consulate around 8:10 and were directly let in. No wait time or standing in line. As we entered, gone through routine security screening, very friendly staff. My son's food and water were allowed. Then we pass through an open waiting area for non immigrant visas, immigrant visas are allowed directly into the hall. Towards left is immigrant visas. The counters are 1-15. 1-11 are for Indian vfs to collect documents and US officers are sitting in 13-15. Everyone is waiting in the same area. We were asked to collect token from counter 1. Asked for language of interview and given a token. After that wait was around 15 min. Called in at counter 6. Asked for 1. Appointment letter 2. Passport 3. PCC (valid for 2 years) 4. Birth certificate 5. Marriage certificate. Returned all the originals and kept only one copy. Then she left to get my file which is humongous. NVC has sent the entire petition and evidence. She said it is going to take a while. Spent around 20 min setting everything up. Then took my wife and kid's documents. My son was restless by this time (he was roaming freely in the meanwhile), she said they'll expedite our interview because of the small kid.
Took the same token and was waiting. In less than 10 min, we were called at counter 15. I went first, a very pleasant middle aged, bald guy greeted and asked if it was just me. He waited till my wife and kid joined. He then asked us to raise right hand and take an oath saying everything in the petition and what we are going to say today is true. He then struggled to find my passport amidst the massive file. Made sure that the birth certificate, police certificate and the medical report as in the file. Now just moving the front few pages asked 'So, you are extraodrinary ability visa, I suppose you have to fill certain criteria for that, like publications etc, can you briefly tell me how many you have qualified in'. I started talking about one by one on publications, the job I do at Stanford, the impact etc. he was not paying much attention to it at all. He said, "so obviously you are going to continue what you are doing right now when you go back to US'. I said 'Yes'. And you have been in the US before right, I said, Yes. While I mentioned critical position criteria, he asked how my position at Stanford is critical, again did not pay much attention to the answer. He then asked if I have stayed in any country for long, I said not more than a week or 10 days for travel. By this time he has stapled the visa fee instructions and visa issued paper and kept them near the window. Asked my wife if she has been in the US before and while asking about her work experience, my son was restless. He said he has kids and he understands. "Hang in there buddy, we are almost done.' He really rushed through asking if she stayed in any other country. He typed something for next three minutes and said Congratulations, your visa has been issued, we will send your passports in few days'! That's it guys. No documents asked, they have the entire petition infront of them, we need not give more (gives confidence to have some with us I guess). By the time we walked back to the hotel room, out of curiosity I checked the status and it said 'Issued, your visa has been printed' That was super fasst. Overall, took less than an hour.
