Hi everyone,
Appreciate any help in identifying options. My parents are seniors and were waiting for their Green Card.
With all the COVID delays + lockdowns, we are in the unfortunate situation where
1) Dad's immigrant visa managed to make it through all the way and he has received his green card. However, he has to spend 6mo + in the U.S to maintain his residency.
2) Mom's immigrant visa got a bit delayed ~3 months behind his, and is now stuck at NVC waiting for an appointment at the Mumbai Consulate - which doesn't seem to be processing any new IR5 from NVC. Mom also cannot visit the U.S on the tourist visa while she is waiting on her green card

1 option is dad visits the U.S alone, but he has to live there for 6 months in a year away from mom which is really tough given their age.
Is there some way we can get Mom's interview expedited? Any other options we should explore?
