  • Sponsoring parent/sister (k3/k4 visa)

    Hi All!

Does anyone have experience dealing with K3/K4 visa? I’m a naturalized citizen and would like to sponsor my sister. I’m aware of the lengthy process( people waiting 10+ years) however, I was reading that when sponsoring a parent/ sibling that they can apply for a k3/k4 visa and come live in the US while the case is in process.

Any advice would be greatly appreciate it
    TIA

No. K3 is an obsolete visa for spouses of US citizens to come to the US while I-130 was pending for a long time; essentially nobody gets K3s anymore. K4s are for unmarried under-21 children of K3s (and again, essentially nobody gets K4s because essentially nobody gets K3s). None of this has anything to do with parents or siblings.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
