  • I 130 by USC, Processing time after forwarding case to NVC

    Hi

I am starting a new thread regarding the exact procedures, forms required and timeline for I 130 petition for spouse by USC. Comments and various timelines experienced by people are most welcome

In our case, my wife applied for I 130 petition from California on May 10th. According to Processing time it takes 5 months, I have not received I 797 yet. I am expecting it before Oct 10th. Do they stick with 5 month timeline?

I am a landed permanent resident in Canada. I have got PCC from RCMP Canada, Indian Passport Office in Vancouver and from police authorities in India. Do I need any other document to get ready in the meantime the visa petition goes to NVC?

How much approximately it will take for the whole process (if you can in detail about the individual step that would be helpful) before I will get my visa? Most of the threads says it varies on case to case basis. If somebody has experienced such a case please reply, that would be great

    Thanks in advance
