Hi everybody,
I won the Diversity immigrant visa program and initially applied for AOS. Now, for family issues, I want to go through CP. when I talked with the USCIS local office they told me that they dont have my case yet (I belive this is because i did not pay the department of state diversity visa fee). So i called Kentucky consular center and was told that only an e-mail saying "I would like to switch from AOS to CP" would be enough. He did not even mention about the form I-824...
My question is that how long will it take for KCC to Transfer my case to my home country, is there any risk to loose my chance to get green card because of this delay?
