Visa appointment again after Medical exam?

Hello,

I have filed a GC for my mom under IR5. She did her visa interview including biometrics. At that time, she had an appt for USCIS interview as well. We did the medical exam the next day and she was asked to do a sputum test at Lilavati by Rele clinic. 8 weeks later, the test results were forwarded directly to the consulate and these expire in April 2022. the original USCIS appt was cancelled due to this. I got a letter from consulate asking to once again, schedule a new visa appointment. Has anyone gone through this process? There are no appointments available for a visa interview! we might end up with the medical report expiring and having to do the entire cycle once again!!

I have similar issue recently with mother appointment but not received any letter from consulate. Did you receive letter in email or paper copy? Also can you please help clarify if you had luck getting/reschdduling appointments. I have been calling ustraveldocs and not having any luck. Thanks
