No dear jay2022, do not do anything now and just wait. Do not panic and do not waste money. There is no agent or lawyer who can expedite the visa process. A Jan 2022 CR1 case has received visa interview letter and so you will also receive soon. Actually cases of CR1/IR1 are doing very well and much faster.

Congratulations Dear jay2022. Worries are over. Now worry about Medical,Biometrics and Interview. Get the medical done as early as possible. Biometrics can be done just a day before the interview to save on days in Mumbai. When the biometrics is done, they put a stamp on DS260 confirmation letter and that letter has to be carried to the interview, thats all for the proof of biometrics.

Medical is done now, gave some vaccinations, also they didn’t give any sealed envelope to anyone but rather uploaded to embassy portal apparently, is that normal?

                Dear jay2022
That is normal. The Medical report is uploaded by the medical dept. to consulate portal. Feel happy that the medical was normal and no further testing was required.

As seen in the cases of recent ILs, it takes about 12 months after DQD in CR1/IR1. Some times ago IR1/CR1 cases were getting cleared faster than IR5 cases. Now a days IR5 cases take less time compared to IR1/CR1 cases. If you want to do some rough estimation, go to NVC site and click Visa Statistics and explore further. If you use some calculations you might foresee the month in which you likely may get called.

                      Hi GeoMac.
My spouse's visa is F2A, DQ'd on 13 September 22. Can you advise on the timeline for the F2A visa interview letter? I could not find a discussion of F2A so posting here.

                        Dear budhiman,
If you go to the NVC website, you will see "visa statistics". Click on that and see and further scroll down and you will see the visa issued at all consulates over the globe. See mumbai and see your category. You will have rough idea as to how many are in queue befor you. Also on USCIS site you can see visa bulletins every month. From that you will know cases of which cases are current.

                            Dear jay2022
Congratulations to both of you. Happy now? Remember how worries were you in december? In a spell of about two and half month you got the visa. Happy journey to your wife and happy re-union.

Yes absolutely happy, thanks for all your help and this forum. I wish everyone who is waiting the very best. They are processing the cases at a faster pace now than last few years.
