VAC appointment web site says duplicate profile

Hello,
I tried to get an appointment on the web site for VAC appointments (USTravelDocs) using a brand new email address. It however detected that the profile matched a previous email address and forced me to merge them (the only option was to Confirm or Cancel). Confirm supposedly merges them and cancel did nothing.

I do own the previous email but have forgotten the password on it. Clicking Forgot password does not send me a new password ..

How have people gotten around this? I need to get an appointment very soon

Hi Nalini - could you please update here on what you ended up doing in your case of duplicate profile? I too am in a similar situation with the VAC appointment site asking to merge or cancel. Selecting Cancel does nothing.

OMG. More than a year.
Hope the delays due to COVID are clearing up. My father became DQ on July'22, I am hoping to get an interview date this year.
