Entering US on employment based immigrant visa

Folks: I need your advise / experience on the following -


I am based out of Canada and have my approved immigrant visa under EB-3 category, valid till mid Nov 2022.

I was planning to complete the immigration related formalities at a land border next month, return on same day, before moving to the US for good few months down the line.


Is this something I can do? Your expert advice on this will be highly appreciated.

Any other advice would also be helpful. Thanks in advance!
