Scheduling interview at the Montreal consulate

Why do I have to do this? My appointment has already been scheduled by the NVC.
But according to this

I have to schedule it myself? Why? Registering for DHL courier I could understand, but appointment scheduling?

So that was for appoint rescheduling if you needed it.
I'm happy to say that I had the interview taken in Montreal and I'm good to go. I guess I wont have to jump the border anymore.
