Do both parents has to register separately for Biometircis (OFC Appointment)?

Parents IL is 25 Nov, DQ was 7th June.

Do both parents has to register separately on www.ustraveldocs.com for Biometircis (a.k.a OFC Appointment)?, When I created account for my Dad, it asked for any additional person (spouse) you want to add ( which I did) but not sure I have to create separate account for my mother ?

Since my parents are old, I have requested for document delivery to be sent via courier service offered by US consulate. .Do they keep Indian Passport with them ? If yes for how long ?

Do medical to be completed first before Biometrics ? Medical check up requires Original passport ( plus xerox copies) and for Biometrics (OFC) also require Indian passport ?

The printout of appoiment letter shows my father's name however it say "number of applicant =2 " with barcode with father case Number and Monther's case number.
