  • e-mailing NVC

Hello, does anyone knows how long does it take to get a response from NVC? We got notices that our cases (4 cases for brothers/sisters) approved(we filed on 2001) and all paperwork sent to NVC on June 27, 2010. So far we did not hear anything from NVC and when we tried calling them, they are asking for file number, which we don't have yet. I sent 4 separate emails to NVC a week ago and still did not hear anuthing from them. Should I send a regular letter or sit and wait, hopefully someone responds to emails.

Instruction on How to find your file number

As far as I understand, you case was approved by USCIS & you have received an approval notice from them. If so, then just look onto your approval notice where you will find a receipt number begins with 3 letters & 10 digits like "wac1111111111". Once you have this number just go ahead to call NVC & follow the prompts until they ask you for your CIS number then enter it. If the case has already received by NVC they will tell your NVC Case number. You should write it down & every time you inquire with NVC for your case, just give them this number to get your answer.
Hope it will work with you. Good luck

      Dear vaiziad,
Your priority date is in 2001. Means your priority date is current according to Visa Bulletin for Dec 2010 . Check this link http://www.immihelp.com/greencard/vi...ember2010.html. So hopefully your NVC processing has been already started. If u call to NVC, u need NVC Case No or USCIS Receipt No. That is I think file no u mentioned. NVC will assign a Case No for your petition at first and rest of the processing will start. If u don't know your case no, call NVC and tell them your USCIS Receipt No ( Also keep handy Petitioner Name, Petitioner DOB, Beneficiary Name, Benificiary DOB ) , then they will give u NVC Case No if they have received your petition in NVC. After your Case No assign, Next NVC will generate Invoice No, AOS Bill and will send u and Benificiary DS-3032_Choice-Of-Agent form and Also IV Bill. Beneficiary Need to complete DS-3032_Choice-Of-Agent Form and send to NVC. Without that form NVC will not start next step. Do 1 thing, call NVC and get your Case no and give them your email and Beneficiary Email address.

Keep in Mind when call or email NVC - Mention Case No or Receipt No, Petitioner Name, Petitioner DOB, Beneficiary Name, Benificiary DOB. For Email Just write Case No in Subject .

Its very difficult my friend to explain the whole process. Please follow the forum.

      Thanks
