Hi Everyone
My spouse's green card was filed in EB3 in 2011, and we recently got a consular appointment for an Immigrant visa scheduled for March 2023. The company that filed my spouse's petition has been acquired multiple times and no longer exists. We contacted the acquiring company's HR, and they are offering a position that was listed in the application 12 years ago. The employer says the green card has a condition that the employee will need to work for six months after getting GC. One of the documents that are required as part of a Consular appointment is an Employment letter
Following questions based on this scenario
1) As you can imagine, job profiles, expectations & companies can change in 12 years. How does Consulate deal with these changes?
2) Where do I find out the template of the employment letter? Does anyone have or know of the template? What happens if we don't bring in the employee letter?
3) How do I find out if there is indeed a condition of working for the employer for six months after GC
4) Can I find a new employer and transfer the application to them that offers a job with my current profile and expectations or do I need to stick with the employer that petitioned my GC for the job
