Traveling while I539 Form is Pending

Hi,

I find the website immihelp very very helpful. Its wonderful.

However, I did not get answer to one of my doubt. Please clarify

Is it mandatory to inform USCIS, if you leave US in the middle of decision pending for an extension I539 form?
