2+ years, still waiting for interview. Immigrant visa is documentarily complete.
Hi everyone, first off I want thank you in advance for helping out!
My brothers, who are minors, from Afghanistan, are being processed at the Islamabad embassy for interview. Their documents are approved and completed and have been waiting to be called for an interview for 2 years now. They are immigrating to USA, under my Mom's petition who is a green card holder. They are minors and due to the situation in Afghanistan, it's getting difficult for them to continue to live without their mothers.
We thought they would be called for an interview within a year as they are minors, but its been 2 years now and only thing we hear from NVC is to wait, every 3 months, we get an auto email, that says (pasted below)
This notice is to inform you that your case for an immigrant visa is documentarily complete at the National Visa Center (NVC) and has been since 15-Jan-2022. NVC has received all of the fees, forms and documents required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview. Your petition is awaiting an interview appointment. At this time, no further action is required. We appreciate your patience.
I wanted to find out from my fellow humans here, if there is anything here we can do to expedite the interview process as they are minors and living without their mom.
