Family Immigration

My sister has applied for my family immigration. Now I have got from NVC visa approval for me and my family. I am asked to pay fees for the visa.

I need to get some clarification /suggestions for the following points.

1 ) My sister has now Moved to India but still holds American passport and she does not have any income on her own, is it possible for her to give me Affidavit of support?

2 ) Her son is in USA working , but he is also moving out to India for good, under these circumstances, who can give affidavit of support for me and my family?

3 ) At present I am working in Dubai and in good position and my family also with me. Now if I leave for USA , my family has to go back to India or come with me to USA, but is it possible to get a good job for myself ?, I am basically an Indian Chartered Accountant and having 25 years of experience in companies mainly as a finance manager.

4 ) I am 50 years old and a diabetic, is it advisable to move to other country and start from scatch in USA?

5 ) My main objective of moving to USA is for my kids who can get American education and good future. My son is completing his +2 and will be going for engineering education, my daughter is in 8th std. I wish to know if it is worth moving to US under these circumstances?

6 ) Is it possible to request Immigration to give time of 3 or 5 years after getting US immigrant visa to stay in Dubai so that I can look for some good openings in USA and settle whenever I get a good job in US.

Kindly advice so as to decide about the same.

I can share my experience somewhat in regards to your question 3.Question 4 is kinda hard for anyone to answer but here goes:

First you may have to upgrade your accounting qualifications to their CPA , then with maybe god and some luck you might find something in your field. Good position of Finance Manger in America depending which State you go ...maybe you'll have better luck than me.

Question 4 my friend ...I understand you wanting the best Education for your children it's a tough decision ...I am stuck in the same postion. Sticking it out just so my son can be educated here...something like the "opportunity cost". My friend only you can decide. You mentioned you are 50 and diabetic ....you have a wonderful life in Dubai. Whatever job you get in America you will have to do just for the pay cheque I call it survival job! Be it stock shelves,sweep floors , flip burgers,maybe Finance manager who knows everyone luck is different.

Why did your sister move back home for good?? Talk to her about your anxiety. I came and learned the hard way wish I can run back home but I have my 11 year old to think about.

Bottom line is we can't have the best of both worlds. There are advantages and disadvantages.

how do i secure a police clearance from australia? i lived there for almost one year as visitor and NVC in USA ask for that document. how can i supply them since i already live here in philippines. please help. thank you.
