Waiting for interview date since Feb 2024 (for parent of US citizen)

I have applied for greencard for my mother and all documents were submitted and we received a message that the next step is for NVC to schedule my mother's interview. No news at all for the past 3 months. Anyone in the same boat? Has anyone received an interview appointment this month or recently?

As of late 2024, over 400,000 cases were documentarily complete and awaiting interviews, with only about 10% scheduled monthly. Wait times can vary by consulate, with some applicants waiting several months or more.

If it's been over 90 days since your case was marked as documentarily qualified, you can contact the NVC through their public inquiry form to check on the status. Additionally, if your mother's case involves urgent circumstances, such as medical issues, you might request expedited processing.
