Hellow guys, I am sajib from bangladesh. My wife is an US citizen and she is the petitioner for my immigrant visa. My interview was on 20th december in dhaka embassy and after the initial interview the visa officer kept my passport and gave me a blue 221g page and told me to return a answer sheet to some questionnaire so that they can do some additional processing. They told me that they will call me after the additional processing is done. On 21st of december I submit questionnaire page answering all the 10 questionnaire. I asked them when can I receive an update from them but they refuse to give me any exact date. So, does anyone knows , how much time does it take for this additional processing to complete. Its been 3 weeks and I haven't heard anything from the dhaka embassy.

We are on the same boat. My husband faced the visa interview few days ago and he was also asked to fill out the questionnair. Please let us know when you finally get the call. Best wishes for you. -
I am DV applicant .I am also going through the same process. My interview date was 11th January. Interview was good . and I am waiting for that call. They keep my passport. Have I any possibilities to get visa?Comment

Dear Recipients, I am also one of you facing the same situation. My wife is an U.S Citizen and she filed my immigration papers. During final visa interview at Dhaka Embassy, consulate kept my passport and said my file is good. But they gave me 221(g) refusal sheet. They informed me that, they will contact me soon. What i did was email the dhaka embassy once or twice a week and called the DOS office from new york to get an update on the case status. I would suggest anyone who is in this category urge their spouse living abroad to do the same, and pray as hard as you can and just keep patient. Got 221g refusal sheet for filling up Questionnaire
Hi all,
I had F4 visa interview on 29th June. The CO took my family picture and told me to identify them. He also asked me about petitiner job and address. I gave him all the questions answer then he told me everything is good. Then he typed something on computer and gave me a blue refusal sheet with comment is in box of (221g)" Additional processing" and hand out another white form of Questionnaire to answer them by email. I asked him what's the reason to put addiotional processing then he said there is no reason and no time scale after emailing the Questinnaire answer. I sent the answer very next day & got confirmation of receivable after 2 days later. Can anybody have an idea that how long does it take to issue visa or something else?
