Time lag between NVC case completion and the interview

Situation: My wife's K3 (immigrant visa) case is complete at NVC, and I will be hearing from them by early next month about when they have scheduled an interview at the US consulate in Mumbai for my wife.

Question: Assuming that NVC tries to schedule the interview in the 2nd week of May, when can I expect the interview? Can I expect it in June? Is that realistic, considering the rush in Mumbai? What is the normal time lag between the time NVC tries to schedule an interview and you actually go for the interview?

This is Akash from Ahmedabad.our priority date is 03 Jan 2011 and i got the I130 approval notice on 21st april from USCIS and now i think it will be with NVC for some time.could you tell me your pd , approval date , and the whole process and timeframe please ?

Hey Akash. Your file will be with the NVC for around 5 months. After which it will be 'NVC complete', and will be sent to the US consulate in India, at which point you will get the interview call
