consular processing after j1 visa
Hi,
My wife was in J1 and she went back to home country for 2 year home residency requirement. I applied for I-824 for consular processing for my wife and child and it got approved in april 2005. I got notification from USCIS that notification has been sent to Chennai consulate as well!!!. I heard that USCIS first informs NVC first then NVC will inform the appropriate consulate and then NVC also gives a case number.
Can somebody explain whether USCIS is bypassing NVC.
2. From approval date for I-824 for consular process, how long will chennai consulate take to act on it.?
3. Since my wife was on J1 visa, will chennai consulate waits for 2 years to complete before they can act on our CP???
