My spouse is in L1 Status currently. We have applied for a COS from L1 to H4 for her and we received a receipt number from the USCIS last week. She is planning to quit her job with just the receipt number in hand. Question is: Are we running into any immigration issues here? Or is it better to wait till we receive the approval notice?
Also to note that I recently changed my job and my H1 transfer petition is still pending with the USCIS for the past 2 months. Since its a normal processing I understand that it will take a month or 2 more from now to get a decision from them.
