Hi,
I am in the EB2 category, which has been unfortunately backlogged since July 1st. My priority date is July 2011. The backlog doesn't affect me since I already got the green card in May 2012 but it affect my wife since she is applying through Vietnam consular processing. Her file has been at the national visa center since mid May 2012. Could you please help me to understand some questions?
- What is the priority date of my wife's application? is it the same as mine?
- while her application is pending, can she still come to the US under F1 visa?
- can we anticipate how long do we have to wait if we choose to wait for her application to become current?
