B2 to F1 to H1B Change of Status Request

Hi,

I arrived in US on B2 Tourist Visa and got accepted in a University so I applied for change of status from B2 to F1. My request is still pending with USCIS. If I get accepted I plan(just like many international students) to search for a job here and find an employer who can sponsor H1B Visa. (and I didn't mention this in my cover letter to USCIS)
Here are my 2 questions
1. Is there a time limit or credit hour limit that I have to attend before an employer can apply for H1B for me ?
2. I have read up many articles regarding H1B but none of them states the process of having the status converted right from F1 to H1B (CPT or OPT are not available in my university). so can someone please let me know the process and how long will it take me to be in a position to apply for H4(My wife) ?

I'd appreciate any help in this regard :-)

hey same here i applied for a change of status which was received on the 6th but i still havent gotten a reply yet, still waiting anxiously tho. I really dont know the answer to your question but i think there surely would be a way around it.

I just got my change of status approved. They took exactly 3 months to approve my application which is more than the usual time period (2.5 Months) . About my questions, I consulted a lot of people and still no one seems to know the answers. But I will keep on looking for answers.

Oh wow congratulations. Gosh you give me hope honestly. I applied on the 6th of October. I just hope and pray they approve mine before my school start on the 15th of January.

Also when exactly did u Apply? So I can estimate the group of applications they are on now? Like the month.
