Hi, could anyone help me figure out about police certificate that needed for nvc, is it too early to get police certificate now since it will valid for 3 months only. My process rite now is step 1st, paid aos but not access to IV app fee yet. Also did my agent choose filled out online. Please help somebody, with greatly appreciated

What countries have you lived or worked in or 6 months or more since age 16? The requirements for various country clearances vary somewhat.

The Austria police clearance validity of 3 months is not that big a deal when submitting to the NVC, as it may easily be 3 months or more before an interview date is scheduled.

No, that's not what I was asking. Police certificate needed before interview which is in step 5, so my question is, is it too early to ask hubby to obtain police certificate now from Austria police dept yet since I am on step 1 or 2 in between. Thanks.!Comment

Whether your husband should request the clearance now or shortly before you need to send a copy to the NVC, or when he needs to have the original to take to his interview, depends on how fast an Austria clearance is available to him. For some countries it takes 2-3 months to get the clearance. For others, he might be able to get it within a few days or couple of weeks.
Your reference to "steps 1 -5" means little since these are arbitrary numbers that mean something to you, but that most of us refer to a: Petition, NVC, Consulate process steps.

Exactly i need to send a pcc copy to nvc. So when did i tell my hubby to send. He told me in Austria he will get it pcc within a day. By post it takes only 1week to reach here. Austria pcc validit only 3 months. Thats why im anxious. Dont u think its to early tell him. Any suggestion about right time to tell him to send. And thank you so much helping me everytime.Comment
