Has anyone visited Pune FRRO Office recently

I have a daughter of 4 years on PIO. I put up a application for converting PIO to OCI in FRRO Mumbai. I was told that i need to show the originals and done. However, when i visited FRRO Pune, there i was told so many documents like Police registration(though it is not compulsory), my office ID, kid school bonafide certificate, electricity bill etc

AS i read a lot of posts from other FRROs in India, they had a very smooth process. Not sure what these people are doing. I wanted to raise this issue if other people are also facing the same challenge.
