Converting PIO to OCI in FRRO Mumbai

I have a daughter of 4 years on PIO. I put up a application for converting PIO to OCI in FRRO Mumbai. I was told that i need to show the originals and done. However, when i visited FRRO Pune, there i was told so many documents like Police registration(though it is not compulsory), my office ID, kid school bonafide certificate, electricity bill etc

AS i read a lot of posts from other FRROs in India, they had a very smooth process. Not sure what these people are doing. I wanted to raise this issue if other people are also facing the same challenge.

Conversion to OCI. In order to convert to OCI, one needs to go through the Indian embassy in the country of their residence or within India at the local FRRO.

The application form for conversion from PIO to OCI can be downloaded from the FRRO website or obtained from the FRRO Mumbai office. There are documents required which can be found on the information page such as Copy of PIO card, passport etc. scratch games
