PIO Card inquiry

Hello Sir\Mam,

I want some information regarding PIO card.

I am here on L1 VISA, My I-94 expired on 3rd of October and my wife's VISA expired on 8th of September. I have applied for that PIO card on 6th of September, 2012 but it got rejected because my wife's status was not valid.
Our extensions has been applied.

Is there anyway we can apply for PIO card?

I have I-797C receipt against the extension applied. Can we use to get that PIO card?

Can we apply PIO card from India?

Please suggest me the options available for us.

If you are still Indian citizen, how can you apply for PIO card? PIO card is NOT for Indian citizens.

In any case, why do you need PIO card?

PIO card for my new born daughter

Oh sorry, I have missed that, it is for my new born daughter.
