  • OCI - Chicago - Not showing Photo Scanned on status enquiry

    Hi Friends,

I have submitted my application for OCI + indian Passport for renunciation. As of today the online status enquiry doesn't show "Photo Scanned". The acknowledgement date is 10/25/2012. It still shows "UnderProcess". For most of the people on this website's OCI tracker I am seeing the photo scanned date is same as acknowledgement date. Any idea why it is not showing for me? Is there anything wrong with Photo or????.

This is the timeline on chicago travisa.

    Date/Time Action
10/19/2012 9:30am CST Service order form completed online
10/22/2012 2:44pm CST OCI application arrived in the mail at Travisa Outsourcing. Please allow Travisa Outsourcing up to 7 business days before the application status changes. Note that your application will undergo several steps before the status is updated.
10/22/2012 5:27pm CST Order form and supporting documents received, payment processed
10/22/2012 5:29pm CST Outsourcing office has received OCI application, but cannot process further. Application is on hold.
10/23/2012 11:16am CST Documents prepared to go to Embassy.
10/25/2012 9:48am CST Documents dispatched from Travisa Outsourcing Office to Consulate
10/25/2012 12:06pm CST Documents received by Consulate
10/30/2012 2:00pm CST Pending approval of the Government of India

    The following is on passport.gov.in/oci.

    Date Of Acknowledgment : 25-OCT-2012
    Application Status
Registration Status at Mission : UnderProcess
    Documents Printing Status :
Dispatched From MOIA (OCI ): NOT DISPATCHED
Documents Received at CHICAGO : NOT YET

Any thoughts? Thank you in advance friends.

      You are lucky

It took me 3 months to get mine and my daughter's OCI. Now I have applied for my Son's. Date it was received at Travisa in Washington, DC - Oct 11th. At Embassy - Oct 12th. Till today no updates on Scanning...1 month after the fact... Washington DC is absolutely the worst of the lot. As far as I can see NYC is the best place to apply for a OCI...

      Good Luck
