I am a person of Indian origin and recently became a US Citizen. I need to get a visa to visit India shortly and thus I would like to drop off my application in person. When I finished the online application (via indiavisa.travisaoutsourcing web site), there was no option to select an appointment date. My questions are as follows:
1) is an appointment required for in-person drop off of the visa application at the SF consulate?
2) what is a typical processing time?
