Hello,
I reside in Houston, texas. I just wanted to get some information regarding the cancellation of my Indian P.P.
My Indian passport expired in the year 2010, which I did not renew as I have not gone back to India in almost 11 years. But now I have my U.S citizenship at hand. I have plans to go to India and I have been hearing about cancellations and fees and every burden that goes along with it.
I know for sure I will need an Indian visa, therefore I have to surrender my PP. And I believe the fee is $175.00 or so. (make that 3 indian PP's...which is sooo ridiculous !!!).
What are the rules and regulations to the cancellation of the Indian P.P? Are there any legal repurcussions because I did not cancel them? Would like to know in detail.
Any help is appreciated regarding this matter.
Thanks
