Applying for renewal of Indian Passport in India

Hi,

My mom's passport will be expiring in 6 months. She can not do renewal by herself and Iam trying to find what do we need for renewal. I did not get a proper link anywhere only for renewal. I want to know, what all the documents do we need to do the renewal in India. Also, can we send the documents with original passport(registered post) by mail, since she can not go personally and we are stying outside of India ?
