Indian visa help for Aussie

Hi all.

I am going to Indian travelling around and helping my boyfriends parents with there businesses while I'm there. I will be there for 6-7 months and I need to know what exact visa will be needed. I have done a few searches but it's quite limited in Australia. I will be able to get sponsored if needed by their businesses so if you have any knowledge of this let me know.
