PIO endorsement with a new US Passport

Hello,
We are booked to travel next weekend to Delhi and on Friday I learnt that PIO needs endorsement if passport is renewed. This is for my minor daughter. Wanted to check if anyone travelled recently and faced issues if we go with old passport, PIO booklet and new passport. My travel is very important and am feeling being on a dead end if this happens to be a requirement.

You don't need any endorsement if you can both old and new passports.

PIO endorsement with new US passport no.

Hello - i realize that i am asking the same question again but wanted to check if anything has changed around this requirement. I will be travelling to India in two weeks with my kids and they have new US passports which have not been endorsed in their existing PIO cards. I plan to carry their old (expired) US passports (which is currently also noted in their PIO cards) as well. Does anyone have any recent experience with India immigartion and would I have any probelms? I dont have enough time to get the new US passports endorsed. Please let me know. Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.
