My father is trying to go to India to be with his sister;s mourning family. My father's sister passed away recently. He has followed all procedures outlined exactly at Travisa Outsourcing in Washington DC. After much back and fourth and stress my father'sVISA status has been in a background checking status and the Ministry of India has not approved it yet. He had to cancel his confirmed flight because the VISA was not ready. He applied with more than adequate time and now BLS is going to be taking over starting July 1 2013. He is a US citizen, 73 years old, unemployed, and has very little money. He believes the delay is because his US citizenship certificate says he is a Pakistani national even though he was born in India. His family migrated to Pakistan shorty after its creation. He is currently homeless and staying temporarily with his daughter. Any advice?
Thanks.
