PIO Application through BLS still showing No Record Found

Hi

I apply for PIO Card for my son . I sent application to BLS NY on 6th July 2013. It reached according to UPS tracking number on 8th July.
It's been 10 days now but still I am not able to track my application
It just say No records found

When I try to call the toll free number-
1) Maximum time not a valid number response
2) If number met, then all customer care were busy
3) After a long wait they ask to leave voice mail, which I already left may be 10 times
4) If someone by chance pick, they just say it will take 45 days, sometime they try to track they also not able to found. They ask for UPS tracking number and said same thing as that on UPS website.

Did anyone know what can be the issue?
Did anyone also facing same issue?

I am little bit worried here as I need to travel to India in First week of October, by that time I need PIO as I need to book ticket.

Please help me.

Hi Amit,

I had the same problem with my son's PIO card application, however there are two ways you should track this.

Since this is a postal application, you should first use the postal application tracking link and enter your AWB number.
If your postal application has reached BLS, this should show you the following message...


"Package with Airway Bill Number <AWB No.> has been received at BLS New York Center on <the date which the application was received>"

If you see this KIND of message, then that means the application was received by BLS successfully.


Enter the required details.. and hopefully after a week or so, this link should start showing you status.

For me, it tool about a week for the link to get activated. My application was received by BLS on 9th July, and since 15th July, it shows status as "Processing at Consulate General".

PIO Card

I have same issue, I submitted application on 10th July website postal status shows received on 11th July but no updates after that.I tried tracking with below links but when searched with passport number it says application not found. Their phones are not working its invalid, they dont reply to emails. What kind of service is this.

still no update even after 11th day

I track with postal application tracker. It already showing reached on 8th July. But today it's 18 still not able to track online application. Still saying no record found.

It could be a possibility that BLS is overloaded with work and hence is not able to upload all data.

And I know it seems to be a pain to be kept in the dark, but just don't know what can be done.

Ready to Dispatch...

For me, the tracking shows that the PIO card is Ready to Dispatch. It hasn't been dispatched yet, but hopefully should be dispatched sometime next week.

Are your cases pretty straight forward? I guess it would be best to wait 15 business days if your cases are straight forward and then try to get through BLS to sort out.

Does anyone have a working phone number for New york BLS? they are not emailing back. I applied for an OCI on July 7 2013 no information is being updated.

are you tracking with postal traking number? or you got something else to tack? In my case tracking with passport number says application not found.

For me, the tracking shows that the PIO card is Ready to Dispatch. It hasn't been dispatched yet, but hopefully should be dispatched sometime next week.

Are your cases pretty straight forward? I guess it would be best to wait 15 business days if your cases are straight forward and then try to get through BLS to sort out.

After waiting a long time and running behind customer care, they told me on Wednesday that someone is going to call me within 24-48 hours. By Friday 4:30 PM no one call , then I call them again. They again said someone will call today by 6 Pm - 7 PM

I asked till what time you are open, he just said till 6-7. Then I asked if I didn't get any call. They just ignore and said someone is going to call.

And as expected I didn't get any call.
So today I call them again and told them about same thing. They told me it will take 15 days to process and then when I told them about my last call which I was expecting they just again ignored and told me it will take 15 days to process as they are so much backlog. And I should expect it to track within next 24 hours.

I just tracked the application using DOB and Passport number, now it show status "Under Process"

Now another doubt occur, did they just change the status so that I will not bother them or is it really under process.
If it is under process now how much time I need to wait to get PIO.

For me status updated after exactly 15 days.
This is what they told me during my last conversation with them.
Also I file case 5-6 days back, they Its been more than 10 days but I am not able to track. So they file my case and told me someone will come. But as expected I didn't get any call. So I call them again on Monday then by afternoon I was able to track. But I am not sure whether they did something or it updated after 15 days.

My application status with passport number still shows " Application not found" with postal tracker they says received on 11th July.
Hope I will get it back on time.
