Procedure to renew passport during Indian trip from the US
My husband holds H1 visa and we are planning a trip to India in November. Both the visa and the passport expires by March next year. We are planning to renew his passport during this visit. For renewing the passport, proof of address documents are mandatory in India. Since he is residing in the US for the past 2 years, there is no document to submit as proof of residence in India. Is there any affidavit kinda to submit so that he can get his pp renewed in India? If not, what is the procedure to get it renewed?
