Passport renewal - Indian address

I am going to complete my 10 years validity for my Indian passport and need to renew it. I don't maintain a residence in India anymore, though I have friends who live at the residence mentioned in my passport. Now how do i use my US address for my Indian passport? The Indian nationality verification form asks for an Indian address and verification details.

What should I do to use my US address in my passport and remove my India address?

Just use the same address. It doesn't really matter.
