Urgent!! - Father's name incorrect in passport

Hi,

Can you please help on updating the father's name in Indian passport.

In my passport my father's name has printed completely wrong. I would like to correct this with the name there in my SSC certificate.

I already submitted online passport application with existing personal particulars - Other and mentioned as "FATHER NAME".

Do I need to carry any other proof certificates apart from my educational certificates (SSC/Intermediate/B.TECH) ?

Please help.

Your birth certificate that shows your father's name.

Thank you for reply. I do not have my birth certificate. Is it mandatory to show birth certificate? Will they not consider SSC certificate ?
